Special.t was borne out of the need for greater quality thinking underpinning clients’ interactions with their audiences. Whilst working as Marketing and Communications Manager at a large organisation Tejada was liaising with multiple advertising, design, PR and media agencies, dreaming of a better solution and a less fragmented way of working.

This constant drive to ‘find a better way’ led to the creation of special.t, offering purpose-driven communications and marketing that is intrinsically tied to business objectives. It’s a refreshing change.

Tejada has worked client-side and agency-side of the communications and marketing fence for over 22 years in Sydney, London and now New Zealand. Keenly interested in what makes people tick, Tejada studied and became an NLP practitioner in London and focuses on strategies that influence behaviour. She works closely with business owners, CEOs and communications and marketing managers to develop tailored strategy that aligns with business objectives and achieves meaningful outcomes.

Julia has recently graduated with a Masters of Commerce in Marketing with First Class Honours from the University of Canterbury. Having recently been a part of launching a start-up business this year, Julia has gained invaluable experience and knowledge in all facets of small business. Additionally, she is currently a Business Development Manager for a Christchurch based food company. She has now joined the Special.T team to further her passion for strategy, communications, marketing and to kick-start a rewarding and exciting career in this industry.
